Installation Notes: Replacement body panels should always be installed by a certified autobody shop. Fiberglass hoods come unprepped and unpainted. Prep work will be required for installation. Typical installation procedures may include - but not limited too:
- Installing your factory hardware, hinges and latch from your original hood to the new hood.
- Adjusting the latch assembly, hinges, supports, and surrounding body panels for proper fitment.
- Sanding down high spots, filling in low spots, and trimming excess material.
- Drilling holes for windshield washer nozzles, clips, fluid lines, or various hardware.
- Installing hood pins for additional safety and proper installation (required).
- Installing a heat shield or insulation pad (required).
- Removing factory hood struts/shocks (if applicable) to prevent bending, warping, cracks or other damages.
- Sanding, priming, painting, and clear coating.
- Installation procedures may vary, professional installation recommended.
- Always be sure to test fit your parts before modifying them. Modifying your parts may void the manufacturers warranty.
